Blackhawk Upgrades Top 3 Piston Pumps: More Power, Faster Changeouts For Pneumatics; Tougher Components For Electrics
Part of ongoing tech-improvement program for landfill, remediation application efficiency
GLEN ELLYN, IL— Blackhawk Technology Company has announced significant improvements to its lineup of Atlas and V-2 pneumatic pumps and Anchor electric pumps as part of its continuing program to advance pumping technology for a variety of landfill and remediation applications.
Blackhawk is the leading manufacturer of top-head-drive piston pumps, which feature drivers outside and above the wellhead, safely and cleanly away from the liquids being pumped. This means far less maintenance (no pump pulling!), which significantly lowers the cost of ownership. Piston pumps go deeper, offer the broadest flow range and are more reliable in the most extreme pumping environments. When odor control is a problem, Blackhawk is the solution because there is no air-liquid contact in the well.
- Blackhawk’s new Atlas pneumatic pump now is built with a 2.5-inch cylinder for deeper, stronger and severe-duty pumping at the same flow rates.
- The Vector remains the everyday workhorse of Blackhawk’s top-head pneumatic line, with the added improvement of a 1-inch drive shaft for fast and easy stuffing-box seal change-outs.
- Blackhawk’s Anchor Electric has been given a more powerful linear actuator with heavy-duty bearings, friction-free internal glide, easy-lube grease ports and reliable limit switches — all contributing to the most powerful electric piston pump on the market.
"Blackhawk is committed to continuous pumping improvement, resulting in a more productive, ecologically friendly and safer working environment at lower operating costs," said Mark Bertane, company president.
